The Bernard House is a two story seven room historical home in the fishing village of Bernard, on Bass Harbor, Mount Desert Island. Located just 20 minutes from Bar Harbor and close to Acadia National Park.

The Bernard House has two bedrooms on the second floor, queen size bed in one, and two twin beds in the other. The house also has a first floor full bathroom, full kitchen, living room with granite fireplace, heater, sunroom, dining room, office and two decks, all with harbor views.

The house is suitable for up to four people, although beds can be provided for two additional children.

The house sits on just under an acre of lawns, moss covered ledges and forest. A short walk brings you to the waterfront, a lobster pound as well as a secluded beach.

Your hosts, Grant and Laura Lee Hughes, provide everything you might need in the way of linens, towels, cookware, cable TV/VCR/DVD, high speed WIFI internet (internet May-Oct.Only), telephone, gas BBQ and fireplace wood. They will be happy to suggest things to do and places to see.
